Won a Contest!

I recently won the October Gnomon Workshop contest! I got first place for my Boogiemaid image http://www.reapthemind.com/detail.cfm?cat=1&detail=7. Totally excited cause I won 25 Gnomon dvds (of my choosing)and can't wait to get them! Just got to find the time to study them now.

Studio Closed, Lost Job

So, in a crazy turn of events, Blue Omega Entertainment, the studio I was with, closed it's doors! All us game makers are now scrambling to find jobs. If anyone who reads this is looking for some solid, experienced game makers for your team, get in touch with me and I'll pass along the info!

Damnation!

So the big game that Blue Omega Entertainment (the studio I concept for) have been developing has shipped and is even available in some places already! The game is called Damnation http://www.codemasters.com/games/?gameid=2654. The game takes place in a civil war torn industrial/steampunk alternate history America. This is my first major game title so it's kind of a big step professionally! Other than that, keep checking back, new art coming soon.

Where's the Time Go?!

Man, another Christmas come and gone and so few new pieces of art have gone up. What's wrong with me?! Well, fortunatly, I've been keeping busy working as an in-house concept artist for Blue Omega Entertainment. Though there have been many frustrating elements to come with the job, it's also given me a chance to grow quite a lot as an artist over the past five or so months. I've been drawing characters, vehicles, environments, weapons, and just about anything you could think of. It's been great exersize! In order to give myself enough personal art time, I've been entering the monthly www.theGnomonworkshop.com competitions. It's been an amazingly healthy practice. I have no idea who, if anyone, even reads this thing but I hope 2008 is a grand one for you!

Upgrades

Been taking some stuff down and putting new things up. I find myself scribbling away so much on my Wacom these days that there's always the faint, lingering smells of burning plastic. :)
